LE CLUB 57
A TRIBUTE TO CENTRE 57
Paco Rabanne paid tribute to beauty and black identity on haute couture runways creating in 1983 Centre 57, a space of 3000 m² dedicated to hip-hop and its artistic expressions. From dance to rap, more than 350 talents have come through 57 Boulevard de la Villette. Closed in 1985, the centre still is an emblematic space of the Hip-Hop Parisian Culture.
RABANNE & SPOTIFY
Fashion and music have always been intrinsically linked so it is only natural that Spotify and Rabanne have decided to join forces during Fashion Week. The two brands intend to set the beat for Paris Fashion Week with the launch of Club 57 which will come to life through a series of playlists and podcasts but also exclusive events to highlight the French music scene. It is also the occasion to tell a little-known story which played a major role in the evolution of French hip-hop: the story of Centre 57.
