For this third edition of Vogue World, the fashion world gathered in the heart of Place Vendôme, Paris. An opportunity to celebrate what makes the French capital great: couture, the arts, but also the thrill of sport.

"If Vogue World: New York was a Street Fair and Vogue World: London a glamorous evening at the theater - supporting London's arts and cultural organizations - Paris is a kind of opening ceremony, one that celebrates 100 years of fashion and sport, as well as this extraordinarycity," said Anna Wintour - Chief Content Officer of Condé Nast, and Global Editorial Director of Vogue.

From the 60s to today, Maison Rabanne presents 4 iconic dresses and accessories, starting with the 1969 bag.

Fierce, bold, exciting, and oustanding are words that describe the DNA of Rabanne, but they also capture singer Teyana Taylor's performance. The long-sleeved dress worn by the singer was created for the Haute Couture Spring-Summer 1969 collection. And it was in the same year that the French actress Michèle Mercier wore this sublime dress made of silver metal and transparent rhodoid discs in Michel Audiard's film "The Golden Widow."

The second of these dresses, made of aluminum chainmail, is an armor that combines both robustness and sensuality. Revealed on the runways for the Spring-Summer 1967 Haute Couture collection, it captures and reflects light, enhancing every curve. The third Rabanne piece is a dress made of hammered circles from the Spring-Summer 1967 collection, which was worn by the icon Naomi Campbell in the mid-2000s. 

These two dresses were accompanied by the iconic 1969 bag. Assembled by hand as a seamless surface of metal discs, the bag is the quintessential expression of Monsieur Rabanne—avant-garde when created fifty-five years ago and timelessly modern today.

 Finally, a mesh metal dress from Julien Dossena's Fall 24 collection creates the link between past and present and the House's timeless signature.
